 Our Foundation is named: “Foundation for the Development of the Techniques of Substitution of the Vital Functions”, F.D.T.S.F.V and called Fondation Transplantation®.

Based on the decree of May 7th, 1992, registering the Foundation as a non-profit organization. It is the result of the initiative taken in the middle of the 1980s, by Robert LOHR, Founder President, with Alsatian industrialists and university experts.

It was Initially implied in the medical follow-up of transplanted patients. By supporting medical research in transplantation then, it widened the fields of research to be supported, then was focused on the substitution of the renal function.

It also changed, in 2002, when joining the Fondation Clement-Drevon located in Dijon, then, in 2005, whith the development, for the FORENAP group, of a state-of-the-art technical research platform with specific biomedical facilities to study the central nervous system (electroencephalogram…)
